With this size table you can determine your own shoe size.

This is quite simple:

1. Stand in a doorway with your back to the frame.

2. Make sure your heel is right up against the door frame.

3. Ask an adult to help you and place a ruler or tape measure next to your foot. This must also fit snugly against the door frame.

4. Now place a straight object (eg a book) on the tip of your toes. You can now use the ruler or measuring tape to read how many centimeters your foot is long.

5. From the table you can now read which shoe size you need for Lurchi shoes with your foot length.

TIP

In some Lurchi models, special, removable insoles are integrated to check the fit. These help you to find out when a new shoe purchase is due. Here you can easily see whether your current shoe fits, whether you are planning to buy a shoe or whether the shoe is already much too small. If these soles are not integrated into your Lurchis, you can use the table as described above to help.

Lurchi's rule of thumb for buying shoes

  • It is best to leave the shoe purchase in the afternoon because your feet can swell during the day.
  • If you want to check how much space is left in the toe by pressing the child's toe with your thumb, grasp the instep of the foot with the other hand so that you can see if the child is pulling the toes back.
  • The shoes should always be at least one centimeter longer than the foot (measured on the inside).
  • If the shoe is too wide, do not go for the smaller size, because it is also shorter. Find another model that is narrower.
  • Above all, make sure you have enough space for your toes. Pointed shoes may look funny - they are definitely not healthy for children's feet.
  • After three months at the latest, you should check again whether the shoes still fit.
