We stock a wide range of school shoes to suit boys and girls, ranging in size  from a European size 24 (UK6 child) up to European 42 (UK 8.5) 
 
Some brands offer a choice of width fittings, others are designed to suit a wide or narrow foot. We sell shoes in narrow, standard and wide width fittings.

Many of our shoes are suitable for orthotics - we can advise you more on this if required.

We sell brands which have been tried and tested (mostly by our own children over the years). When selecting our shoes we look for durability, comfort and style.

We constantly check our prices against other retailers (including those which are never knowingly undersold!) so you can be assured that you are always getting the very best value for money. We don't sell cheap shoes - we sell quality shoes at the very best price we can offer!

When buying your school shoes from us you have several options:

The one we most recommend wherever possible, is to book an appointment to come and see us in store for our school shoe measuring and fitting service. This is available in our Bramhall store. Each appointment is 30 minutes, so you can take your time and not feel rushed, as our expert shoe fitters help you find the perfect pair for you child.

Appointments are strongly recommended during our busy Back To School period throughout August and early September. We suggest the best time to book an appointment is between 01st - 20th August - this way you'll make sure you get the pick of the styles.

Walk in's will be possible; however, we may need to operate a 'take a ticket' system during busy times, so a wait may be likely.

If you prefer to buy your child's school shoes online, then all of our Back To School range will be available to buy via our website.

If you are local to either of our stores then why not select the 'Click and collect' option and bring your child in for a fitting when collecting the shoes (Appointment required) This way you can be sure of the perfect fit!

For those of you not local who wish to buy online, we will be offering our virtual shoe fitting service. 

This will work as follows:

1. Buy the shoes online (using sizing guides; click on 'Size Guide' or 'Sizing' Link when browsing shoes)
2. Once you have received the shoes e-mail us on info@littlebigheads.co.uk
3. We will book a 30 minute virtual consultation (via facetime) with you, with your child present, to check the fit of your child's shoes. Should they not be suitable we will recommend a different size, style or brand.

Should you not need to use our virtual fitting service, we do strongly recommend before purchasing, to use our helpful sizing/measuring guide.

We have printable foot measuring gauges and step by step measuring instructions available for most brands which you can download and print!

This will help you choose a size that is correct for your child. 

We love customers who use our helpful guides and we do understand that in some instances returns are necessary. PLEASE can we ask that any returns be made at the earliest convenience, this ensures that all unused returned school shoes can be restocked and made available to other customers before the back to school season is over. Your consideration is greatly appreciated!

Unfortunately as a small business we cannot offer free returns on any school shoes sent back to us, so please do use all of our online sizing guides and fitting information at the time of ordering, to try and get the correct size first time. Remember we are available via email, telephone or Facetime to help you prior to ordering.
